2020 Mazda CX-30
April 21 2020, King Mazda
There’s a new sport utility vehicle in the Mazda lineup this year. The newest addition, the 2020 Mazda CX-30, offers all of the space you need to keep up with your family’s active lifestyle. It also provides traditional Mazda driving pleasure and impressive safety technologies.
The CX-30 stands out with its elegant and daring style. It is the second model to adopt the latest evolution of Mazda’s KODO design, a more mature interpretation of the design philosophy that has continued to dictate Mazda’s new vehicle lineup.
Like other Mazda SUVs, the CX-30 can be equipped with the automaker’s advanced all-wheel-drive system dubbed i-ACTIV. This technology uses 27 sensors that monitor road conditions 200 times per second to guarantee optimal traction and impressive performance in any situation. Rain, snow, or ice, your Mazda CX-30 will perform the way you want it to.
Available in three separate versions for 2020, the GX, GS and GT, the CX-30 is offered with two different engines. First, in the CX-30 GX, you’ll find a 2.0-litre SKYACTIV-G four-cylinder engine and a 6-speed SKYACTIV-Drive automatic gearbox. This engine develops 155 horsepower and 150 lb-ft of torque.
The second powertrain offered is the 2.5-litre SKYACTIV-G engine coupled to a 6-speed SKYACTIV-Drive automatic gearbox, which is found in all GS and GT models. This engine develops 186 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque.
With these two choices, Mazda’s new compact SUV offers fuel economy ratings ranging from 8.9 to 9.9 L/100 km in the city and 7.1 to 7.7 L/100 km on the highway. That puts it among the best in the segment.
The Mazda SUV also has a spacious interior with a cargo volume of 572 litres behind the second row of seats. With the second row of seats folded down, the volume increases to 1,280 litres. This puts the CX-30 ahead of the likes of the Subaru Crosstrek and Hyundai Kona in terms of cargo space.
